Flick explains Rodri's absence vs PSG

Barcelona coach, Hans Flick, confirmed that the decision to exclude Rodrigo Hernandez from the starting lineup against Paris Saint-Germain was motivated by the desire to protect his physical condition, not due to injury. Flick decided to rest him in recent matches to give him some downtime, particularly in preparation for the upcoming El Clásico against Real Madrid on Sunday, focusing on maintaining team balance and reducing fatigue. He also emphasized the importance of ball possession and team cohesion when facing PSG, and confirmed that Gerard Martin is ready for the match after recovering from previous pains, with substitutes being relied upon to cover for the absence of some defenders.
