Tain Haj: Ronaldo disappointed Man U

Coach Erik ten Hag has once again stated that Cristiano Ronaldo let him down during his time at Manchester United, explaining that the Portuguese player was not committed enough in training and did not achieve the required levels of fitness. This had an impact on his performance and on the team as a whole. He pointed out that Ronaldo would skip some training sessions and did not complete certain necessary activities after the team’s 4-0 loss to Brentford. He also mentioned that he had to make the decision to exclude him from the squad despite his great respect for him as one of the greatest football players. Ten Hag emphasized that Ronaldo was not performing at the team’s expected level and did not contribute to the collective effort, highlighting that every big team needs stars who support teamwork. He noted that Ronaldo was unable to perform the physical tasks required. This comes days after Ronaldo was suspended by the Portuguese Football Federation for 30 days due to leaving the national team’s training camp during the international break, along with a fine of 255 euros.
