Rashid Al Dhaheri joins F3 2027

The Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula 1 team has announced the transfer of young Emirati driver Rashed Al Zayed (18 years old) to the Formula 3 Championship starting from the 2027 season. He will become the first Emirati driver to participate in this series, which is considered a key stage in the development pathway for drivers aspiring to reach Formula 1. Al Zayed will join the Van Amersfoort Racing team and begin his competitions at Bahrain in March 2027, as part of a program involving 30 drivers across 10 countries on 4 continents. His move marks an important step in his career following success in kart racing and Formula 4, where he claimed several titles. He aims to inspire young Emirati drivers and leverage his previous successes to compete at the highest levels.
