Saudi artisan Hadiyah Al-Enazi, known as "Umm Al-Sadu," celebrates her expertise which spans over 60 years in the Sadu craft. She showcased samples of her work during the Saudi International Falcon and Hunting Exhibition 2026. She began practicing the craft at age 13 and has continued to document traditional skills while also training new women in hand weaving techniques. The Sadu craft involves hand-weaving wool threads on a loom, creating geometric patterns and various decorations that were historically used by Bedouin communities to make everyday items and household necessities. Her products include bags, Sufuf (woven storage items), accessories for camels and horses, as well as bracelets and home necklaces. She emphasizes the importance of preserving this traditional craft and passing its knowledge to new generations to ensure its continuity. Through her efforts, she has trained around 46 apprentices, helping to strengthen the presence of Sadu and solidify Saudi heritage.
