Secrets behind Ballon d'Or voting

Pascal Ferré, the former editor of "France Football," revealed a mysterious incident related to the Ballon d'Or award. An agent of a player nominated for the prize left an unknown envelope on his meeting desk with him. The agent was trying to promote his client's nomination and suggested the possibility of "selling" the vote to members of the voting panel, although he did not take any official action. After the agent left, Ferré handed the envelope to the reception without knowing its contents, only to later discover that it belonged to a player in the English Premier League. Ferré also mentioned an attempt by a French international player who was not nominated to buy votes from the panel, but it was unsuccessful. These incidents reflect the pressures and influence attempts that have characterized the voting process for the Ballon d'Or.
