The Department of Culture and Tourism in Abu Dhabi, in collaboration with the National Basketball Association (NBA), organized the Selected Talent Showcase event for the League Academy from September 23 to 26 at New York University Abu Dhabi. The event aimed to gather 36 talented players from 15 countries across the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia, with the goal of developing their athletic skills through training sessions and exhibition matches led by international experts such as Ron Harper and Jason Richardson. The event concluded with a final game in which the Chicago Bulls defeated the San Antonio Spurs with a score of 42-23. During the ceremony, the top talents were honored, and awards were distributed to the best players and those distinguished in individual and team skills. The initiative seeks to empower young athletes, promote fitness, expand the basketball community, and nurture young talents to prepare a new generation of skilled players.
