Donis Debuts with Surprising Play for Al Hilal
Greek coach Georgios Donis, the head coach of the Saudi national team, surprised the players with a new lineup for the match against Qatar in the semi-finals of Gulf Cup 27. He excluded Mohamed Abu Al-Shamat and fielded Mahrez Muhammad for the first time, in unexpected changes. This match marks Mahrez Muhammad's first official appearance with the national team, following his impressive performance with Al Hilal since his transfer last summer. Donis also continued to rely on certain key players in the lineup and focused on an attacking approach led by Feras Al Buraikan, aiming to secure victory and advance to the final.
