Launching and Expanding the "Dubai Marathon" Initiative to Promote a Healthy Lifestyle in the Community The activities of the second edition of the Dubai Marathon continue to attract more than 100,000 participants from Dubai residents and visitors over the course of two months, following the community initiative launched by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Together, they have logged over 220 million steps to encourage physical activity. The initiative currently includes more than eight locations, such as shopping centers and Dubai International Airport, providing comfortable and safe walking and running tracks, along with weekly events, challenges, and free prizes. Dubai officials emphasized the importance of the initiative in instilling a sports culture as part of everyday life and achieving quality of life goals in line with Dubai's 2033 Strategy, aimed at promoting community health and cohesion.
