Nahno al-Qimam launches new climbing program

Sharjah Foundation for Capacity Building "Tataweer" has launched a new version of the "Towards the Peaks" program, which focuses on climbing skills and mountain adventures within the UAE. The program aims to develop participants' abilities in climbing, handling ropes and equipment, and technical descents in valleys through theoretical and practical training sessions running from September 2023 to November 2026. It includes four training phases that gradually advance participants from safety basics and equipment knowledge to advanced climbing leadership. The program seeks to build self-confidence, decision-making, teamwork, and responsibility. It relies on hands-on challenges and environmental activities to enhance young people's readiness to face larger future challenges.
