Abu Dhabi Chess Festival Begins

The 32nd edition of the Abu Dhabi International Chess Festival has kicked off under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Nayed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Approximately 2,250 players from various countries are participating, including 300 from the UAE. The competition features three main tournaments: the International Masters, the Open Tournament "A" and "B," with strong participation from world champions. The festival aims to promote competitiveness and develop the skills of both Emirati and global players. It runs until August 24 at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Abu Dhabi, offering a variety of prizes and introducing new events such as Chinese Chess and Checkers, in addition to a championship for people of determination.
