German club Borussia Dortmund has signed Greek player Konstantinos Karaitas from Belgian team Genk for a five-year contract, at a cost of nearly $34 million. The move aims to strengthen the team's midfield following the departure of Julian Brandt. Karaitas, 18 years old, is skilled in playing on the right wing and as an attacking midfielder. He demonstrated his technical abilities by scoring 3 goals and providing 11 assists in 28 league matches last season. Dortmund's goal with this transfer is to compensate for Brandt's absence and to bolster the midfield, especially as the club continues its summer transfer window after finishing second in the league behind Bayern Munich. The club is also linked to signing other young players, such as Saeed Malla.
