Senegalese defender defends Al Shabab through Bari deal

The Saudi club Al Shabab has signed Senegalese player Mamadou Bari, who is 21 years old, to their first team for the new season on a one-year loan from Belgian club Union Saint-Gilloise, with an option to buy. He began his career at the Mawadi Wad Academy in Senegal, then moved to Norwegian club Tromsø in March 2024, where he participated in 15 matches and scored one goal, before joining Union Saint-Gilloise in January 2025, with whom he won the Belgian Cup. Bari is the 32nd player of his compatriots to join the Saudi Pro League since its inception in 2008.
