Neom Club has announced the appointment of former defender Ahmed Hegazi as an assistant to the sports director, just 48 hours after his decision to retire from playing at the age of 35. Hegazi will work alongside Greek sports director Kyriakos Dourikas, as the club aims to continue improving its performance in the "Riyadh Season" league, where they finished eighth with 45 points in the previous season.
