Lebanon Calls for International Weapons Monitoring

The report indicates that Lebanon insists on an independent international mechanism to verify the removal of Hezbollah's weapons, with the United States and other sources calling for the participation of international monitors to ensure the arrangements are carried out, despite clear Lebanese rejection of external intervention. Israel, on the other hand, insists on being involved in overseeing the disarmament of the party, while the Lebanese government continues to oppose the presence of monitoring countries on its territory. Negotiations remain stalled, with no final consensus on the implementation mechanism.
