Lebanese Army Clarifies Kafra Incident

The Lebanese Armed Forces leadership categorically dismissed the Israeli claims questioning its ability to carry out missions in southern Lebanon. They explained that military units began working on a military facility in Kfarra - Bint Jbeil in December 2025, and resumed operations there in August 2026 after a temporary halt due to Israeli threats to bombard it. They confirmed that the facility was permanently closed in October 2026, and all procedures are documented with the Monitoring Committee on the Ceasefire, demonstrating the army's efforts in the area and disproving the Israeli allegations. Additionally, they mentioned that Israel is repeating disinformation campaigns in an attempt to undermine the credibility of the Lebanese Army both domestically and internationally, amidst ongoing negotiations.
