Iran warns against targeting US internet infrastructure

A spokesperson for the Iranian Revolutionary Guard has condemned threats to target its technological infrastructure connected to the United States in the region, particularly the submarine internet cables passing through the Strait of Hormuz, which are vital for international data movement and are relied upon by global internet networks and commerce. He confirmed that new targets could be struck if the conflict escalates, indicating that Iran might hit data centers and artificial intelligence facilities in the U.S. in the region if war breaks out, in response to earlier military threats.
