US unveils drone and rocket defense against Iran

The United States has developed two new defense systems to counter the increasing threats from drone swarms and missiles, aiming to protect facilities and troops in a more flexible and adaptable manner. The systems, showcased at the U.S. Army Association Conference and Exposition, incorporate high-precision technologies and guided munitions such as hypervelocity projectiles and smart weapons. They are designed to combat drones and missiles through a multilayered approach. Both systems rely on directed energy technologies, particularly the high-power microwave (HPM) system, which uses microwaves to counter drone swarms, ensuring more continuous and effective defense without relying solely on traditional ammunition stocks.
