Video: Army dispatched to suburb

The Lebanese Army carried out a wide deployment in the southern suburbs of Beirut this morning, deploying patrols and bringing in vehicles from the Shweiffeh area. Their presence was concentrated around the Kafaat Circle and beneath the Al-Mashroufiya Bridge, as part of a plan to expand military presence in the suburb. This came after Hezbollah members were seen conducting nighttime patrols through the streets of Beirut, riding dozens of motorcycles and chanting party slogans, reflecting an escalation of security tensions in the area.
