Nassar on Explosive Materials Case

Lebanese Minister of Justice Adel Nassar confirmed that investigations into the explosives case are ongoing and under control, with increased confidence in the Public Prosecutor and the Military Prosecutor to follow up on the matter. He stated that the presence and storage of explosives on this scale pose a threat to the security of the Lebanese community and state, especially if used for security or military purposes outside of the state's framework, which endangers national security. He clarified that the investigation focuses on elements linked to illegal practices and decisions that harm the country's interests. The Public Prosecutor has resorted to the Judicial Council due to the size of the case and its connection to national security, emphasizing the necessity to continue the investigations until they are thoroughly concluded to ensure the safety of Lebanese society.
