He assured them he'd handle paperwork but then vanished

A Béjà Judicial Task Force was able to arrest a person suspected of carrying out cases of fraud and swindling in Lebanon. He was impersonating an "Official Transactions Processor" named "Mr. Muhammad Baalbeki." The detainee would deceive victims into believing he could handle judicial procedures at the Baabda and Beirut courts, including paying fines, lifting liens, issuing release orders, and securing financial guarantees, all in exchange for money transferred via bank transfers. After receiving the funds, he would disappear from sight, leading to his arrest and interrogation. He was also asked to have the victims come to the Baabda police station.
