Aoun and Rubio Discuss No Leniency

The article discusses the telephone conversation between Lebanese President Michel Aoun and U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, during which they discussed the situation in Lebanon and the region, with a focus on the escalating Israeli attacks on southern villages. Aoun urged Rubio to use his influence to pressure Israel to halt its assaults, adhere to the framework agreement, and put an end to the bulldozing operations that hinder farmers from accessing their lands. Aoun reaffirmed that the army and security agencies will firmly address armed manifestations, and that laws will be strictly enforced against violators, with judicial cases proceeding without leniency. The call comes amid escalating Israeli security and military tensions, at a time when explosive shipments are raising concerns about the security situation in Lebanon.
