Washington rejects Hezbollah's claims on funds

The U.S. State Department confirmed that the funds Hezbollah claims to receive from Iran do not exist. Instead, the group finances its activities through criminal enterprises such as drug trafficking with cartels in Latin America, rather than from Iran. It was stated that Hezbollah uses any money it has to purchase weapons to threaten Israel and intimidate its opponents, and there is no evidence of substantial funds supporting its military capabilities. Additionally, it was clarified that disarming Hezbollah is the path to achieving lasting peace and security in Lebanon and Israel. Cooperation with Gulf countries and Europe aims to fund Lebanon's reconstruction after recent tensions, but only after Hezbollah's disarmament.
