Salam to meet with development blocs today
Prime Minister Nawar Salameh received a delegation from the blocs of Development and Liberation and Loyalty to the Resistance at the Grand Serail. During the meeting, they discussed the path of recovery, rebuilding, and reconstruction in the areas affected by Israeli attacks, particularly projects by the Council for Development and Reconstruction within the framework of the Emergency Assistance Program for Lebanon (LEAP). Salameh indicated that the tenders for these projects have entered the awarding phase, with the total value of projects to be contracted expected to reach around $70 million before the end of the year, based on the project loan, with tangible results anticipated in the southern regions in the coming months. They also discussed the rehabilitation of damaged infrastructure and basic facilities in the southern suburbs of Beirut to quickly restore stability to the most affected areas, in accordance with available funding.
