Hezbollah Starts Shelter Aid in Lebanon

Hezbollah launched the "Promise and Commitment" housing project to assist families affected by the destruction or damage of their homes in Lebanon. The aid amounts to up to $14,000 for units in Beirut and southern suburbs, and $12,000 for other areas. The program aims to support families who have been displaced from their homes and need funding to rent housing and purchase furniture. It includes those whose homes have been completely or partially destroyed, as well as internally displaced persons from border areas under Israeli control. The first installment of aid has begun to be disbursed. The initiative is part of the party’s commitment to support those affected, though it emphasizes that these aid efforts do not replace the role of the state in reconstruction, and that the resistance will continue its efforts to defend the people and their rights.
