Qatar PM in Beirut for support renewal

Qatar's Prime Minister, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, visited Lebanon on Thursday, where he is expected to meet with the three presidents and political factions as part of Doha's efforts to improve relations with Syria and support the Lebanese army. The visit also responds to an invitation from Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri and addresses issues related to weapons and Qatar's role in the region. Meanwhile, the European Union approved the establishment of a three-year security support mission in Lebanon to enhance the capabilities of the army and internal security forces in border control and land management, as well as developing crime prevention and security administration, with the aim of boosting the country's stability.
