London warns of threat to Fairford base

Britain has reported that a threat targeting the "Fairford" airbase, used by the American military to track Iran, is potentially linked to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard. Assessments suggest that the threat was coordinated within Iran and directed by the Guard. In response, London summoned the Iranian ambassador and imposed new sanctions on Iran, including targeting Iranian nationals on charges related to threatening British security. These measures are part of efforts to curb Iranian hostile activities, especially following broader legislation aimed at restricting Iranian influence on ships and nuclear activities. The British government is focused on countering potential security threats from Iran, enhancing its measures to prevent attempts at intimidation and sabotage on its territory.
