Jamil Al-Sayyed Calls for Response on Explosives Case

The article addresses the issue of the explosive materials seized on the Dhahr El Baidar road. It discusses Deputy Jamil Sayyed's stance on the potential referral of the case to the Judicial Council based on investigations and legal considerations. He explained that such a referral depends on the investigation results—whether the materials were intended for use against the Israeli occupation or for internal purposes within Lebanon that threaten national security. There is also the possibility of amending the criminal law if it is proven that the objective was resistance against the Israeli occupation. The article highlights the contradiction between forgiving Israel for its violations and the need to punish those who resist the occupation. It affirms that the Lebanese people are awaiting a clear legal decision that is based on the rule of law, away from political influence.
