Kan'an resolves Little Tart case

The modifications were made following objections and ongoing political and educational discussions. The Head of the Finance and Budget Committee, Deputy Ibrahim Kanaan, announced that the Ministry of Education had retracted its decision to close the Khatt al-Sughra Secondary School in Al-Jdeideh. Minister of Education Rima Karamy informed Kanaan of her support for his proposal to reopen the school and merge it with the New Damour Girls' Secondary School, in order to preserve its legacy and educational history in the area. This came after a series of meetings and communications with the ministry. The move aimed to protect the interests of the local community and the educational mission, as the secondary school is considered part of the region’s history and has graduated many students.
