Berri discusses Lebanese priorities amid Israeli escalation and power shortage
In reaffirming the importance of national unity, Speaker of the Parliament Nabih Berri stressed the need to activate government work to address living crises, particularly the electricity crisis, which he described as a "farce" that requires adopting a Build-Operate-Transfer (B.O.T) scheme. Berri called for intensified internal coordination and the avoidance of disagreements, emphasizing that unity is fundamental in facing security and political challenges, amid ongoing pressures on the southern borders and the economic and living crises facing the Lebanese people. He also reviewed his relations with various parties and expressed concern over the potential for Israeli escalation against Lebanon, while reaffirming that the outcomes of the Israeli elections will not fundamentally change the situation.
