Qbulan Aoun urges national unity to avert crisis

The Grand Jurisconsult Sheikh Ahmad Qorayem has affirmed that Lebanon and the region are on the brink of explosion due to escalating tensions and complex circumstances. He emphasized that maintaining the framework of national unity and the confessional pact is essential for Lebanon’s safety. He warned against attempts by some to eliminate the presence of the Shiite community, stressing that the community has borne, and continues to bear, the burdens of national defense and significant sacrifices, and will not allow efforts to wipe it out or harm its constitutional role. He called for a firm national stance from President Joseph Aoun to prevent an internal explosion, warning that continued current policies could lead to a directed massacre against the Shiite community, and affirming that attempts at extermination target its existence and Lebanon’s future.
