Khalaf Warns of Abandoning Southern Villages

Deputy Malhem Khalaf affirmed that more than ten thousand residents in the villages of Rmeish, Dbl, and Ein Ebel are facing dangers from occupation and increasing restrictions on them, amid the deterioration of the state's presence and failure to provide basic necessities for life. He pointed out that the occupation is intensifying its facilitation and services to attract residents, under the pressure of necessity, causing some to be forcibly transferred into Israeli territory, which threatens their continued connection with Lebanon. He warned that severing ties with these villages or the UNIFIL withdraw- al without guarantees could lead to their isolation, making it an arduous burden for the residents beyond their capacity, and representing an affirmation not to leave them alone.
