Lebanon Face Rising Tensions

Diplomatic moves indicate an escalation of Israeli threats against Lebanon, with increasing concern over the lack of internal consensus to implement government decisions, which exposes Lebanon to a greater risk than the potential escalation itself. European efforts include supporting Lebanon through training workshops for the Lebanese army to strengthen its control and security, with the possibility of forming an international force composed of Italy, Switzerland, and Jordan under UN auspices in southern Lebanon. Within this context, internal issues are raised concerning the general amnesty decision and the discovery of explosive materials seized along the Bekaa Road. Investigations continue into the entry and source of these materials, with the seizures including half a ton of high-explosive explosives. The government anticipates activating the amnesty law next week, although its implementation faces challenges, while security and political developments remain highly awaited.
