Clashes Stop Smuggling at Lebanon-Syria Border

Lebanese military sources reported that the Lebanese Army thwarted two attempted drug and explosives smuggling operations along the Syrian-Lebanese border. One person was arrested during an attempt to smuggle approximately 60 kg of hashish, 35 kg of Captagon, and 22 kg of marijuana, in addition to a handgun and ammunition. Furthermore, army forces in the Qasr Al-Harim area seized a quantity of shells and rockets, along with 24 kg of TNT prepared for smuggling. No injuries were reported, and investigations are ongoing to apprehend those involved and prevent ongoing smuggling attempts along the border.
