Gold drops ahead of Fed minutes

Gold prices today declined as investors await the Federal Reserve's meeting minutes, which are expected to clarify the course of monetary policy and future interest rate hikes. Spot gold prices fell by 0.3% to $1,150.23 per ounce, while futures declined by 0.2% to $1,177.60. The minutes are anticipated to reveal how strongly policymakers support further rate increases, which could impact gold prices, especially in light of developments in Treasury yields, the dollar's exchange rate, and oil prices.
