Aoun and Berri receive UNIFIL extension request

The article addressed the Lebanese stance regarding UN Security Council Resolution 2790 concerning the withdrawal of UNIFIL troops from South Lebanon. The deputies emphasized that implementing this resolution faces fundamental difficulties, especially in light of the Israeli occupation along the Blue Line. They called for reconsidering the resolution to ensure the continuation of an international security umbrella that protects southern Lebanon, while exploring alternatives to avoid security vacuums and maintain stability.
