Britain sentences 20 years for embassy plot

The British judiciary has sentenced a man of Arab nationality to a minimum of 20 years in prison after he was convicted of planning a terrorist attack targeting the Israeli Embassy in London. The defendant attempted to enter the embassy in April 2025 armed with two knives and carrying a martyrdom message, but was stopped by police officers. It is believed that his motives were in response to Israeli operations in Gaza, and evidence showed that he was searching for the embassy's location and was in possession of sharp tools and a message indicating his intention of martyrdom. He was convicted of planning the attack and possession of sharp instruments, and the sentencing duration was announced today.
