Judicial Assistants Await Government Decision

The Follow-up Committee for Judicial Assistants in Lebanon appealed to the government and the Minister of Justice to amend Decision No. 7 issued in 2014, which denied appointment to a number of successful candidates from the fifth batch due to political and sectarian considerations. They emphasized the need to appoint the remaining individuals, especially after the government previously attempted to ignore their demands. The committee called for opening a new recruitment cycle to appoint 250 judicial staff members. They are awaiting a wise decision to end this injustice, stressing the importance of justice and the necessity to correct the error.
