The article indicates that the U.S. Department of Defense has taken exceptional and swift measures to strengthen air defenses against drones, aiming to protect military bases and American interests in the Caribbean region. These procedures include reducing the time required to deploy advanced missile defense systems from several months to ten days, utilizing artificial intelligence technologies to test and activate high-energy laser weapons to neutralize drones before they reach their targets. It is also reported that Guantanamo Bay Naval Base is being transformed into a strategic center to support unmanned operations, thereby enhancing U.S. military and technological capabilities in the area.
