Baalbek's Poverty Challenges Politics

Under the title "Notable Movement in Baalbek: Poverty Confronts Politics and Slogans," the article discussed a large gathering of the residents of Baalbek - Hermel focused on fighting poverty and development instead of political slogans. The event, attended by around two thousand people, called for linking security with development, achieving balanced growth, strengthening the role of the state, and reforming the electoral law to reflect fair representation. Participants emphasized the need to improve living conditions and highlighted the importance of economic and social security as foundational for economic progress. They also called for practical solutions to the region's issues, especially with winter approaching and the rising cost of living. The event underscored that the main challenge is transforming demands into ongoing political and social action that ensures sustainable development, reinforces the state's presence, and prioritizes poverty reduction and economic security as foremost goals.
