Al-Zira'a plans export of 100,000 tons

The Ministry of Agriculture unveils a comprehensive export plan for the 2026 apple season, aiming to export over 100,000 tons of Lebanese apples. The plan focuses on expanding foreign markets, enhancing competitiveness by reducing shipping costs in collaboration with CMA CGM, improving product quality, and stimulating local consumption through promotional campaigns. It also includes measures to protect domestic production and halt apple imports to support farmers, alongside efforts to address logistical and customs challenges and activate economic diplomacy, all to increase demand for Lebanese apples and strengthen their competitive position in Arab and international markets.
