Lebanese Students in France Urge Abstention from Protests

The Lebanese Students Committee in France called on students not to participate in protests and demonstrations related to the student and labor movement in France, in order to preserve their academic responsibilities and comply with the laws of the host country. They emphasized that their presence in France is for study and academic achievement, and that they must adhere to its regulations and avoid engaging in any activities that could affect their academic progress or safety. The committee also advised students to verify official information regarding university closures or changes to academic schedules and not to rely on rumors. They have established an online platform to follow developments. Their main goal is to protect students’ academic paths and to promote respect for French laws, while highlighting the importance of staying away from internal conflicts and presenting a positive image of their country through their conduct.
