Macron urges G7 unity on diesel exports

France and the United States are calling on the G7 to coordinate their efforts to lower fuel prices, especially by supporting the reduction of reliance on export diesel. France has urged for a coordinated move without imposing export restrictions, as President Emmanuel Macron contacted Trump and announced a video meeting of the group's leaders soon. Meanwhile, Trump is proposing to pull European countries from their strategic diesel reserves and ban its export, as both sides seek to align their efforts to maintain energy market stability and strike a balance between protecting infrastructure and addressing rising global fuel prices.
