Rubio Demands Iranian Diplomat Exit After Talks Fail

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio personally requested the Iranian delegation to leave New York immediately after the negotiations faltered. This unusual move reflects the deep mistrust between the two countries in their efforts to reach a nuclear agreement or political understanding. The step came after the official end of the United Nations General Assembly meetings, during which the Iranian delegation, including Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, headed to Doha in the early hours of the night. Neither side showed a willingness to make concessions, leading to the collapse of the negotiations and the United States announcing the expulsion of Iranian diplomats from New York. This decision is considered an uncommon diplomatic escalation and a sign of the ongoing tensions between the two nations.
