Intense Yemen-Houthis clashes in Taiz

The fronts in Taiz, Yemen, are witnessing the most intense escalation between the Yemeni armed forces and the Houthi militias since the beginning of the clashes. Fierce fighting has taken place in the areas of Sala, Ash Shuq, and Al Dabab, with combat extending to several regions near the city. This includes heavy artillery shelling by the Houthis on government forces’ positions in areas such as Al Siyahi, Hadran, and Al Dabab. The government forces and the popular resistance managed to repel the attacks, and the battles resulted in human and material losses among the Houthis, in addition to casualties and injuries on both sides. Yemeni aircraft targeted rebel positions in multiple locations to the south and north of Taiz, aiming to disrupt Houthi movements and reduce pressure on the government forces.
