Israel probes Dubai trip amid Iran hints

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu affirmed that Israel will maintain its forces in the buffer zones in Lebanon and the Gaza Strip until its mission is accomplished, in order to reduce the threats posed by Hezbollah and Hamas, both backed by Iran. He clarified that Israel’s goal is to disarm Gaza and eliminate extremism, with a future outlook towards potential peace with Lebanon, despite the ongoing issues related to the presence of Hezbollah and Iran. Regarding the "Fly Dubai" flight incident, Netanyahu described the attack inside the plane as akin to a disaster on the scale of the September 11 attacks, noting that the attacking pilot is under investigation in Saudi Arabia, and that investigations are ongoing to determine whether Iran was involved. He considered the incident to be a significant save from a potential catastrophe.
