Sisi: Egypt lost 20B dollars due to regional instability

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi emphasized that Egypt has lost around 20 billion dollars in Suez Canal revenues due to regional instability, particularly the situation in the area, including attempts to evacuate Palestinians from Gaza. Sisi confirmed that Egypt has faced multiple economic challenges since 2011, including the repercussions of the COVID-19 pandemic and the Russian-Ukrainian war, with expectations that recovery could take up to 15 years. He pointed out that Egypt's strategic choice is peace, and that the Palestinian issue remains central, supporting a two-state solution to achieve lasting stability in the region.
