Romano discusses strain with Labuf in memoir

Actress Kristi Carlson Romano spoke about the nature of her relationship with actor Shia LaBeouf, emphasizing that it was significantly different, describing their relationship as "oil and water" due to their vastly contrasting family backgrounds. She explained that LaBeouf's childhood was filled with chaos and fear, while she was raised as a very organized person, which led to tension between them. Nevertheless, Romano praised his efforts and determination to succeed, noting that he managed to secure a personal manager at a young age as part of his hardships and difficult upbringing. Their professional relationship included working together on the TV show "Even Stevens" and the movie "The Even Stevens Movie." Her statements come in the context of her upcoming book about her experience as a child star, which is expected to be published in October 2026.
