Telecom regulator streamlines internet transfers

The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority in Lebanon launched, under Decision No. 4/2026 issued on February 5, 2026, a campaign to regulate and transition internet subscriptions from unlicensed networks to licensed networks, in coordination with service providers and relevant authorities. The process covers all users in areas such as Ashrafieh, Hamra, Baadaro, Adlieh, Baabda, Tripoli, and others, where users have been promptly notified to switch in order to prevent service disruptions. Subscribers are requested to cooperate with their providers to arrange the transfer processes and submit the required documents. They can also view the list of licensed providers or contact the Authority for further support. The Authority has called for completing the transition as soon as possible to ensure the continuity of internet service, and has provided an informational video for additional guidance.
