Tunisia INTERPOL Arrests 126 Terrorists Using AI

The International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL) launched an international security operation called "Sun 2" to combat digital terrorist networks. The operation was carried out from June 1 to June 5, 2026, with the participation of 28 officers and experts from 11 countries, including Tunisia. It focused on analyzing propaganda content, images, and videos posted online by extremist groups. The team managed to gather more than 108,000 images, then used artificial intelligence to refine and reduce them to 6,362 high-resolution images, which led to the identification of 126 foreign terrorists.
