Lebanon Seizes 61 Generators

During a month-long intensive campaign against illegal generator owners, the Lebanese Ministry of Economy and Trade confiscated 61 electric generators, with the assistance of the State Security Agency. Additionally, a large number of non-compliant generators were seized and handed over to local authorities to provide electricity to citizens and ensure their rights to electrical supply. Since the beginning of the year, 418 enforcement reports have been issued against violating generators, 16,668 field inspections have been carried out, 1,498 citizen complaints have been addressed, and 786 violation reports have been recorded related to generators, pricing of goods, and food safety.
